Litigation Paralegal

Special Counsel is looking for a Litigation Paralegal for our client: a large national law firm located in Downtown Seattle, Washington. This is a Full Time Direct Hire Position offering a generous compensation and benefits package. Candidates should have at least 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal. This position is currently working from home and will return to the office in a hybrid setting when it is safe to do so. Responsibilities:

·        Assist attorneys with and at trials, mediations, arbitrations and settlement agreements

·        Handle discovery from start to finish including preparing initial drafts of discovery and have experience using eDisicovery software

·        Conduct legal research, summarize findings, and present to attorneys

·        Communicate and coordinate with clients, opposing parties, witnesses, and court personnel

·        Assist attorneys with client invoices and entering billable time in a time management software

·        Manage and summarize deposition transcripts

·        Proofread documents and check for accurate citations

·        Conduct client intake and interviews

·        Draft privilege logs

Qualifications:

·        At least 5 years of experience as a Litigation Paralegal

·        Knowledge of court rules

·        Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

·        Superb written and verbal communication skills

·        High attention to detail

·        Ability to work overtime and travel

·        Ability to produce quality work with minimal supervision and guidance

Education and Experience:

·        Bachelor’s Degree required

·        Paralegal Certification preferred
