I'm currently working on a search for a client that is looking to fill a Senior Financial Analyst position near Des Plaines, IL. Our client is one of the largest global retailers and distributors in their niche. They are a multi-billion dollar organization that services a vast network of industries with 10k+ products!
Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation on key strategic initiatives to ensure all business units meet their specific strategic goals
- Assist in the development of monthly forecasts, budgets, and key strategic business plans including the analysis and variance explanations for senior leadership
- Act as a trusted partner and catalyst for change by providing insightful analyses and information that will enhance business decisions and company profitability
- Create models to ensure the viability and direction of strategic business efforts including revenue analysis, revenue alternatives, benefit analysis, and cost scenarios
- Provide analytic reports and variance analysis for monthly review meetings with stakeholders on trends and monthly/yearly results of the business
- Support ad-hoc work and analysis by creating reports and analysis as needed across the business

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting
- 4+ years of experience in Finance
- Previous FP&A work required
- Reporting system experience (SAP, Power BI, Host Analytics, Epicor)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience interacting with senior leadership
