About Ameren Illinois
Ameren Illinois delivers electric transmission and distribution service and natural gas distribution service to over 2 million customers in central and southern Illinois. We provide safe, reliable energy to 1,200+ communities.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Development of engineering solutions, cost estimates, and preliminary designs for initial project scoping and budgeting
• Detailed civil/structural design upon project authorization, including contour and grading plan design, drainage design, oil spill containment, and access road design
• Design of reinforced concrete foundations to support substation equipment and structures
• Interacting with stakeholders to coordinate design and construction activities
• Facilitating permits for construction activities and preparing bid packages
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university required
• Engineer Intern certification preferred
• Professional Engineer license in Illinois required
• Two or more years of experience in civil or structural engineering preferred

The successful candidate will demonstrate good analytical, project management, communications, and human relations skills. They will be able to handle multiple work assignments, prioritize effectively, and work proficiently within a team environment.
