About the position
The Tax Assistant position at Polston Tax Resolution & Accounting is an administrative role focused on supporting the tax department. This role involves communication with clients, coordination of meetings, and management of documents and files, all while maintaining a collaborative team environment. The position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational and time management skills, who can effectively juggle multiple priorities.
Responsibilities
• Communicate with clients regarding the status of their tax returns and coordinate conferences/meetings with the Tax Accountants.

• Coordinate all incoming and outgoing shipments/mail/packages.
,
• Ensure documents are being processed in a manner that follows the systems in place.
,
• Communicate with internal departments and coordinate tax returns for deadlines.
,
• Maintain organization of file/storage/copy room in an orderly and neat manner.
,
• Manage electronic document filing on network drive.
,
• File job folders and other documents as required.
,
• Assist tax department staff and managers.
,
• Work remotely when the office is closed due to inclement weather, power outage, etc.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Positive attitude and customer service mindset with a strong work ethic.

• Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills with great follow up.

• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.

• Capacity to work on assigned tasks independently or with little supervision.
,
• Ability to accomplish tasks while demonstrating thorough concern for all areas involved.
,
• Capacity to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
,
• Coachable mindset and student mentality.
,
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software including Adobe.
,
• Equipment such as computer, tablet, and/or phone to work remotely when necessary.

• Internet - a minimum of 50 Mbps internet service with a recommended speed of 100 Mbps for optimal performance.

• 1 year of customer service experience (Required)
