WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

The Associate Director, Compliance Issue Management provides oversight, execution and maintenance of the Compliance Issue Management, Risk Assessment and Risk and Control Self Assessment programs. Activities include end to end program planning and continuous governance and reporting of progress and results.

Monitors activities to minimize the company's exposure to risk. The position provides oversight, execution and maintenance of the Compliance Issue Management, Risk Assessment and Risk and Control Self Assessment programs. Activities include end to end program planning and continuous governance and reporting of progress and results. This position interacts with compliance associates within the department and first line business partners. The ability to collaborate at all levels is key. Activities may include quantitative analysis, risk identification and remediation.

Essential Functions/Responsibility Statements:

  • Manages compliance efforts for the company as they relate to key regularly examined elements of a mature Compliance Management System.
  • Manages complex regulatory and policy requirements, program and project development.
  • Ensures program requirements are executed and reported accurately and in compliance with partner expectations.
  • Develops and periodically reviews and updates department procedures to ensure program execution and reporting.
  • Prepares frequent, high visibility, reporting on program health and results.
  • Identifies potential areas of improvement and/or efficiencies.
  • Appropriately manages and develops assigned staff.

Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Work Experience: 12-15 years ; Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, or Financial Services.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Demonstrated experience in compliance and/or operations management position within the securities or banking industry.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and supporting an Issue Management Compliance Program.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and supporting a Risk Assessment Compliance Program.
  • Demonstrated experience monitoring and supporting a Risk and Control Self Assessment Compliance Program.
  • Advanced knowledge of Financial Services rules and regulations
  • Advanced understanding of Enterprise Compliance Risk Management and best practices.
  • Advanced risk and compliance process, control validation, reporting and/or assessment skills.
  • Superior leadership, supervisory, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent drafting and formatting skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent ability to manage multiple projects and achieve on-time and outstanding deliverables.
  • Demonstrated experience facilitating change to achieve measurable results.
  • Detail orientated with the ability to also understand and explain overall strategy.
