We are hiring Maintenance Mechanics in Chickasaw, AL. In this role, you will use your knowledge of mechanical skills to help Honeywell PMT deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our facilities and customers. You will work under immediate supervision and alongside some of the world's most talented mechanics. You will contribute to the development of Honeywell's next generation of Technology products by testing and/or validating equipment. You will be part of a group of highly committed professionals who provide expertise and ensure the success of the site's commitment to the organization and its customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Works to ensure work process standards in order to meet all KPIs
• Utilizes hand or power tools, test equipment, forklifts, mobile cranes, technical drawings, and Computers to perform work.
• Performs team duties that may include managing meetings, communicating with other teams or individuals, managing documentation, records, and scheduling personnel.
• Responsible for maintaining Safety, Environmental Quality, Product Quality, Productivity, and Inventory accuracy for their area.
• Inspects and evaluates equipment and equipment performance.
• Performs tasks associated with test, inspection, and repair of equipment including taking apart and reassembling components after repairing or replacing parts.
• Verifies equipment, or areas, are safe for normal use, hazardous work, servicing, or maintenance.
• Interacts with technical personnel to resolve equipment issues
• Documents and records maintenance information in SAP
• Willing to work rotating shifts as required.
• Ability to work overtime as required.

YOU MUST HAVE
• 3 or more years' experience as an Industrial Mechanic
• 3 or more years' experience in a manufacturing environment.
WE VALUE
• Knowledge of equipment manufacturer's specifications. Deciphers sketches, blueprints, and engineering details.
• Be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions.
• Software knowledge of SAP, PIMS, Master Task List, PI. Knowledge of UOP work processes.
• Good math skills, familiarity with use of statistical control charts, operating and maintenance instructions, reading and interpreting maintenance procedure manuals, ability to operate computer as needed to input and retrieve information.
• Good analytical and troubleshooting skills. Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical maintenance, piping, welding, millwright, painting, lubrication, pneumatics, rigging, alignment, and fabrication skills to perform assignments.
• 2 year Technical degree preferred but not required.
• Candidates with a demonstrated precision maintenance skills including laser alignment, torque spec utilization, ability to accurately utilize precision measuring tools preferred.
• Experience with rotating equipment including pumps, gearboxes, agitators, conveyors, mechanical seals, etc.
• Experience with stationary equipment including tanks, pressure vessels, process piping, etc.
• Familiar with general equipment lubrication requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED
