Transportation Dispatcher $20/Hr (Possible $22/Hr after 6-Month Review)

Maggie's Paratransit Corp. is a leading Paratransit Transportation Provider. Our door-to-door service provides 330 Vehicles comprised of Sedans and lift -equipped buses to the elderly and disabled who are unable to use mass transit within the Five Boroughs, Western Nassau and parts of Westchester County via the NYCT Access-A-Ride Program. Our company's history dates back to 2001, making it the oldest and most experienced Access-A-Ride Carrier. We currently hold the largest Fleet in the industry operating out of East NY, and are the only 24-Hour Service of its kind. Providing Excellent Service is our business.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the punctuality and performance of the Para Transit Route
• Exercise Passenger Sensitivity
• Document Driver Performance, Routes discrepancies, Breakdowns, Accidents, etc.
• Customer Service
• Enforce Company Policies and Procedures
• Promote Safe Driving Habits
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of Dispatch experience within the transportation industry
• Excellent communication skills with ability to adapt to changing situations, and listen to feedback
• Computer skills needed
• A customer service oriented mentality with attention to detail
• Knowledge of the five (5) boroughs

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
• Majority of work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well ventilated facilities
• Majority of work is accomplished in an office or in a cubicle space equipped with a telephone and computer.
• The employee is generally subjected to long periods spent sitting, typing, or looking at a computer screen.
