About the position
The Visual Inspector position at Sabre Industries is a critical role responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of products throughout the manufacturing process. This position involves conducting thorough visual inspections of products before, during, and after production to ensure they meet the company's quality standards and customer specifications. The inspector will also be tasked with inspecting shipments of finished products to verify their compliance with established criteria. In this role, effective communication is essential, as the inspector must clearly convey findings and concerns via email, text, or verbally. The inspector will ensure that all inspections align with Sabre's quality standards and will conduct in-process and final visual weld and dimensional inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1 standards. Additionally, the inspector will be responsible for verifying and maintaining the inspection and test status of products throughout all stages of manufacturing, as well as verifying the rework and repair of any nonconforming products. The position also requires the initiation of requests for corrective action when nonconformities are observed, as well as the preparation, review, and maintenance of quality records related to inspection and testing activities. The inspector must visually inspect manufactured parts to ensure they are produced according to the specified drawings and specifications, ensuring that customer requirements are not only met but exceeded. Furthermore, the inspector contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in their area of operation, while also collaborating effectively with team members to accomplish related tasks as needed. Maintaining a professional demeanor at all times is also a key expectation of this role.
Responsibilities
• Conduct visual inspections of products before, during, and after production processes to ensure compliance with company standards and customer specifications.

• Inspect shipments of finished products for quality assurance.

• Communicate clearly and concisely via email, text, or verbally regarding inspection findings.

• Ensure all inspections comply with Sabre's quality standards.

• Conduct in-process and final visual weld and dimensional inspections in accordance with AWS D1.1.

• Verify and maintain inspection and test status of products during all stages of manufacturing.
,
• Verify rework and repair of nonconforming products.
,
• Initiate requests for corrective action on observed conditions that do not conform to quality system requirements.
,
• Prepare, review, and maintain quality records related to inspection and test activities, ensuring legibility, completeness, and correctness of information.

• Visually inspect manufactured parts to ensure they are produced according to drawings/specifications.

• Ensure that customer requirements are determined and met or exceeded.

• Contribute to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in the area of operation.

• Collaborate effectively with team members and accomplish related tasks as needed.

• Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Requirements
• High school diploma or equivalent; a two-year Associate/Technical degree is preferred.
,
• Must meet the AWS D1.1 requirements of a visual weld inspector.
,
• Recent experience working with Quality Control in a welding/manufacturing environment is preferred.

• Ability to read blueprints (engineering drawings).
,
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 of an inch.
,
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills.
,
• Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, team environment.

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety and quality manuals, blueprints, and design drawings.

• Ability to efficiently input and retrieve information from PC-based information systems.

• Ability to effectively use measuring devices such as tape measures, combination squares, and levels to accurately verify all parts to print.
