General Summary
The Business Process Analyst builds partnerships with operational leaders and teams across the organization, working in close collaboration with department directors, management, and team members across PTE, Engineering Ops, PMO, Sourcing, and Finance teams. This role will be responsible to execute the processes covering monthly resource allocation forecasting, product test time and yield forecasting, operational efficiency monitoring, identifying opportunities for process improvement/automation, and developing systems and tools to support engineering operations processes. This position requires a strong and proactive work ethic. Work duties can shift regularly, so being well-organized with the ability to handle multiple deliverables in a demanding environment is required. to improve processes throughout.

1) Manages quarterly TTY (test time and yield) update in Cognos cycle for QCA products to meet deadline
Solicit TTY change inputs from engineering team across San Jose and Shanghai sites and confirming justification for changes
Verify requested changes based on actuals are supported by production data from Optimal+ database
Set up new products in Cognos
Reviews summary of all changes with Sr Directors and Directors for buyoff before finalizing update in Cognos.
Record change summary in share point directory
Participate in cost model review with Finance
Supports ad hoc TTY Cognos changes out of cycle
Collaborates with Sourcing team to detect and correct error occurrences in Cognos
- POC for Engineering Ops and Sourcing for Cognos content
2) Manages monthly HC (headcount) planning updates to Tempus covering 3 year outlook for all QCA PTE departments across San Jose and Shanghai sites to meet deadline
Solicits inputs from directors across San Jose and Shanghai sites, receives offline HC forecast files, identifies and resolves discrepancies in the offline files with each director, and enters all validated changes into Tempus forecasting tool
Publishes consolidated HC report with mountain charts for departments and projects
- Coordinates with Tempus system administrators to set up new projects for forecasting.
3) Develops and maintains project HC tracking tools to document budgeted HC plans and records of all HC budget adjustments formally made after original budget approval for all active projects.
4) Provides plan-vs-actual HC analysis by project to respond to plan-vs-actual HC gaps highlighted by PMO and Finance. Gathers inputs from department heads to explain deltas. Reconciles budget HC plan vs Finance department records.
5) COT (cost of test) report generation covering QCA products for monthly reporting and ad hoc cost analysis. Optimize report generation process for efficiency.
6) Tools and systems
Develops algorithms to automate detecting Cognos content incongruencies/errors to fix
Proposes tool improvements to address deficiencies and inefficiencies
Beta test new tools for TTY and HC planning providing bug/enhancement feedback
Supports PTE engineering ops team on Tempus adoption facilitation, tool workflow documentation, PTE KPI tracking
Provides training sessions and mentoring on tools
Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise and development on tools: Cognos, Tempus, TEP, O+
MS Office applications with proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and relationship management
Conceptual problem solving, systematic discipline, attention to detail
Ability to execute and stay organized under high multitasking conditions
Ability to analyze large data sets and drive organizational metrics
Working knowledge of financial concepts and metrics
Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree with quantitative, engineering or computer science related focus.
Minimum Qualification:
1-3 years of experience
Experience with process improvement initiatives to include process mapping and system development
Demonstrated ability to drive new initiatives and track and manages issues to closure
Ability to analyze large data sets and drive organizational metrics
Experience in effective communication, teamwork, collaboration, and relationship management
Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications with proficient MS Excel and PowerPoint skills
Experience with conceptual problem solving, and attention to detail
Ability to execute and stay organized under high multitasking conditions
Flexibility to accommodate rapid change and to deliver under accelerated time frames
- Working knowledge of financial concepts
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in project analyst responsibilities
Experience in Project Management
- Experience with IBM Cognos/TM1 a plus
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
- Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
