We are looking for a candidate who identifies with this mission and has a passion for serving the citizens in our great state as an Environmental Scientist Intern.
SUMMARY OF WORK:
As our Environmental Scientist Intern, you will assist the Solid Waste program with administrative and inspection tasks that include updating brochures and other information handouts; updating the Solid Waste Management plan; creating and developing publications for industry members and the general public; assisting with Solid Waste inspections; preparing, completing, and filing inspection reports; entering, issuing, and mailing waste hauler permits; and assisting with the abandoned auto program.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States. DEQ will not provide sponsorships.
To be considered for this position an individual must be enrolled in a college or university or be a recent graduate with coursework in environmental sciences, geology, chemistry, or in natural resource management.?
