Working Capital Manager Job Description
The Working Capital Director is a critical leadership role within Omnicom Media Group (OMG), responsible for managing accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) reporting across media agencies under the OMG umbrella. This position involves ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial submissions, motivating the Working Capital team to achieve established goals, and collaborating with various stakeholders to optimize working capital and mitigate risks.
Responsibilities
• Oversee and ensure the timely and accurate submission of monthly AR and AP data, maintaining a high standard of data integrity.
• Prepare and present monthly financial results and insights to senior management, highlighting key trends and issues that require further action.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and address problematic accounts, offering strategies for resolution and improvement.
• Conduct thorough reviews of monthly results, noting anomalies that warrant further investigation.
• Motivate and manage staff to meet deadlines, fostering a productive and results-driven environment.
• Collaborate with the Order to Cash (OTC) Director to monitor cash inflows, ensuring that financial goals are consistently met.
• Work closely with Budget Project Managers (BPMs), Finance Directors (FDs), Client Business Leads (CBLs), and other internal staff to optimize collections and ensure timely payments.
• Run credit evaluations for new and existing clients using an external system (Allianz), requesting insurance where necessary, and identify any high-risk accounts or those with coverage shortfalls.
• Partner with agency finance teams to define and establish internal credit limits for clients.
• Ensure all agencies within Omnicom Media Group adhere to the Omnicom credit policy and review client requests for compliance with credit policy rules.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and present findings effectively.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with experience in team management and collaboration.
• Knowledge of credit risk assessment and compliance regulations.
• Familiarity with MediaOcean, Oracle Hyperion (HFM), Microsoft D365, or Allianz/Euler systems is a plus.
• Experience in a media agency setting is an advantage.
• Exceptional communication and people skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. For this role, benefits include: health insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, 401(k), Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account, vacation days, sick days, personal days, paid parental leave, paid medical leave, and STD/LTD insurance benefits.
Compensation Range
$160,000—$175,000 USD
This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
