AtkinsRalis has the depth and breadth of expertise to respond to the most technically challenging and time-critical infrastructure projects and the urgent transition to a low-carbon economy.How will you contribute to the team?Applies knowledge of the National Flood Insurance Program, Risk MAP, and Community Rating System (CRS) by providing communications, training, and technical support to clients and community stakeholders for FEMA Regional offices and state/community clients. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of floodplain management, hazard mitigation, and risk communication principles as well as demonstrated experience authoring related publications.Supporting the floodplain management, training, outreach, and special projects lead, duties include technical writing; document publication and editing; audio/video editing; NFIP-related technical assistance; ordinance review; SharePoint site administration; database maintenance; and training coordination, facilitation, development, and delivery.What will you contribute? Bachelor's or master's degree in planning or a related field, or 10 years of related work experience. Ideal candidates will have at least 5 years of experience with a combination of floodplain development/permit review, ordinance enforcement, hazard mitigation plan development, training development, and public information or outreach related activities. Completion of FEMA's EMI E273 course (or equivalent).
