AP Specialist
Summary
Processes, records, verifies, and pays invoices for goods and services on a timely basis. Manages and maintains positive internal customer and external business partner relationships.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for the daily processing of all incoming vendor invoices.
• Prepare and audit payments sent via check and ACH.
• Respond to vendor queries, reconcile vendor statements, and communicate with vendors regarding payment status.
• Upload daily invoices and receivers to Filebound and route for approval process.
• Process approved invoices to appropriate expense accounts.
• Assist in month-end closing process for AP work queues.
• Complete and maintain all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
• Sort and distribute mail.
• Answer incoming calls.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.
Education
• High school diploma is required.
• Associate degree in accounting, a plus.
Experience
• Minimum of three-year previous bookkeeping, accounting, and/or financial experience preferred.
• Accounts Payable experience a plus.
• Understanding of General Ledger Accounts a plus.
Technical Skill
• Microsoft Excel, and Outlook.
• Experience with File Bound a plus.
