Accounts Payable Specialist (JO-2208-173752)

Our client is a leader in the transportation industry located in downtown Detroit, MI. and they are looking to add a Accounts Payable Specialist to the team. The Accounts Payable Specialist should be organized, efficient, computer savvy and able to communicate effectively with all levels of management. The schedule is flexible (30-35 hours per week).

***This position will start on Monday 8/29/2022***

Job Duties:

Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures
Processing due invoices for payments
Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment and other charges
Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries and reconciling books of accounts
