Network for Strong Communities (NSC), a nonprofit that offers strategic, educational and operational support services to nonprofits, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer.
NSC is looking for an experienced accounting professional with nonprofit expertise. A CPA is preferred. The ability to work in and lead a team in a fast-paced environment is imperative. An entrepreneurial spirit is a plus.
The CFO will oversee a bookkeeping team that serves a variety of nonprofits throughout the Midwest and would be part of the executive team that plans the growth and development of NSC.
In addition to developing NSC’s annual budget and forecasting long range plans, responsibilities for NSC’s fiscal operations include preparing monthly financial reports for the finance committee and the Board of Directors, maintaining the daily financial transactions for NSC (invoicing, paying vendors, reconciling accounts, payroll etc). and working with a public accounting firm during our annual audit.
The CFO will be responsible for business development, supervision of the accounting team and overseeing the quality of accounting work performed for NSC’s nonprofit clients.
The CFO position is a minimum of 30 hours/week with competitive benefits and a great work environment. Salary ranges from $65,000-$85,000, depending on experience.
