POSITION SUMMARY:

The Shipping Representative II performs various shipping and inventory responsibilities, including all functions performed by the Shipping Rep I, and oversees the work of a team or teams of Shipping Representatives. The role uses available resources to meet warehouse operations expectations in a coworker friendly environment. The position also acts beyond expectations of Shipping Representative I in assisting the Distribution Services Manager and Assistant Manager in meeting corporate and departmental goals.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delegate and oversee the work of a team or teams in assigned workgroups within the warehouse
• Adhere to all procedures and policies for FedEx Office Distribution Services (ODS) and FedEx Office (FXO) and act as a team lead to ensure procedures and policies are followed by other team members
• Perform duties such as picking, inventory replenishment, packing, cycle counts, truck loading/unloading and other warehouse work as assigned as well as provide oversight in areas as designated by the Distribution Services Manager and Assistant Manager
• Operate scanning equipment and may use other technology solutions to achieve established goals
• Accountable for meeting standards related to speed, accuracy and other productivity measures as well as ensuring that these standards are met by other team members within an assigned workgroup
• Attend daily operational meetings
• Ensure new product information is understood, communicated with team and scrutinized in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to validate accuracy of initial item set up
• Maintain a clean and safe work area including the upkeep and operation of material handling equipment and company property
• Maintain safety standards and regulations set forth by OSHA, DOT, FedEx Office Safety Team and local requirements
• Provide daily feedback to Operations Management team regarding warehouse operations, ideas to reduce waste and recycle and opportunities to improve overall efficiency
• Assist Operations Management team with the orientation and training of new team members to FedEx Office (FXO) People, Service, Profit philosophy and FedEx Office Distribution Services (ODS) warehouse operations policies and procedures
• Maintain stock in proper locations, proper case pack designation and provide feedback to Operations Management team
• Attend assigned training, i.e., compliance, fire safety, forklift training, new products, new equipment, etc. and make recommendations to Distribution Services Manager and Assistant Manager on additional training needs
• Lead by example in regard to daily work habits, performance and team member relations and escalate concerns to the Operations Management Team
• Assist Operations Management Team with input as needed for periodic staff evaluations
• All other duties as needed or required

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
• High School diploma / GED or equivalent experience
• 2+ years general work experience
• Experience with distribution center systems, operations, equipment, and workflow management preferred
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications
• Proven leadership and ability to contribute to problem solving situations
• Self-starter with good time management skills
• Forklift certification a plus

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods
• Ability to move and lift 55 pounds
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to bend/twist at the waist and knees
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability, on a consistent basis, to report regularly to work and maintain established business hours in order to support the FedEx Office business; regular attendance and/or reporting could include regular attendance at a physical location and/or maintaining established business hours depending on the scope and nature of the position

Preferred Qualifications:

Pay Transparency: This compensation range is provided as a reasonable estimate of the current starting salary range for this role across all potential locations. If this opportunity includes multiple job levels, the salary information represents the job level minimum and the job level maximum. Actual starting pay would be determined by experience relative to the job, market level, pay at the location for this job and other job-related factors permitted by law. An employee may be eligible for additional pay, premiums, or bonus potential. The Company offers eligible employees health, vision and dental insurance, retirement, and tuition reimbursement.

Pay: $19.30 - $22.70/Hr
