The Minister of Facility Management is responsible for the general oversight of the campus buildings, grounds, parking garages, fleet, equipment, mechanical systems, housekeeping, and ensuring the facilities are operational, safe, sanitary, and ready for church services and ministry activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

• Develop, oversee, and evaluate systems for all aspects of operation, repair, and maintenance of the existing campus and mechanical systems


• Lead and manage the Facilities Team to ensure proper task management, projects, scheduling, inventory, and safety


• Maintain an asset management program for all related equipment and mechanical systems, including commissioning, preventive maintenance, and end of life replacement


• Oversee the energy conservation management program and ensure optimum performance of systems with a focus on stewardship


• Oversee and evaluate third party housekeeping and janitorial services, including setup and tear down


• Ensure compliance with all health and safety, environmental, and risk management policies and procedures that relate to the campus


• Respond immediately to emergency situations and perform tasks necessary for the well-being and protection of property and occupants


• Develop short- and long-range plans and program objectives, annual budget, and a capital improvement budget for future repairs and improvements to the facility


• Function in an interactive and cross-functional relationship with all other ministries and support areas of the church


• Perform all other duties as assigned by the Minister of Operations

Qualifications

Spiritual

• Must be fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas


• Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry


• Must be committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally


• Must possess characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity

Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)

• Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles


• Must have a minimum of 5 years of prior experience in facilities & plant management


• Associate’s or Bachelor’s level degree preferred


• Prior experience and knowledge utilizing computer aided design (CAD) software


• Ability to read and interpret architectural and design documents such as blueprints, plumbing, and HVAC schematics


• Ability to organize multiple tasks simultaneously with excellence while operating with thoroughness and attention to detail


• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Physical

• Constantly lifting 1 to 10 lbs., frequently lifting 11 to 50 lbs.


• Frequent walking, about 3 miles per day


• Frequently bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, handling, grasping, and keying


• Requires repetitive use of feet and hands
