Junior HR Administrator
Job Description
The Junior HR Administrator will support our Human Resources department and act as the first point of contact for HR-related queries from employees and external partners. The main administrative duties include maintaining personnel records, managing HR documents (e.g. employment records and onboarding guides), and updating internal databases.
Responsibilities
• Deal with staff salary and payroll queries
• Personnel files, HR Administration, Reports
• Induction
• Deal with CCMA Administration, disciplinary hearings, investigations and support to HR Manager
• Reports – capturing contracts, leave, overtime worked,
• Capturing and checking leave balances
• Completion of UIF documentation
• Loading contracts, experience with BambooHR would be advantageous
• Labour inspections documentations and resolving general employee relations issues
• Assist in Processing of Provident Fund claims i.e. Withdrawals, Retirements. Disability claims
• To assist with any day to day or ad-hoc administrative tasks and projects.
• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects
• Ability to handle data with confidentiality
Requirements
• Proven experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant, or relevant role
• Experience with HR software, (BambooHR is advantageous)
• Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
• Thorough knowledge of labour laws a must.
• Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills
• BSc in Human Resources or relevant certifications
