Procurement Service Desk Manager

The Procurement Manager PSD is accountable for leading the tactical buying team for North America operation sites. You will execute indirect material related category strategies. You will actively engage with category managers, the supplier base, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams. In addition, you will be accountable for costs savings, process validations and improvements. You will deliver against individual, department and company annual targets while proactively updating management on projects, issues, and opportunities within scope of responsibility.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Execute procurement strategies for the indirect procurement team.
• 
  Hire, train and manage direct reports against targeted objectives both at personal level and company level
• 
  Take an active role and work with internal stakeholders (Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Finance, Accounts payable, etc.).
• 
  Provide timely and accurate updates to internal stakeholders as required.
• 
  Maintain contracts and commitments in a timely manner to understand financial exposure.
• 
  Identify and implement cost savings opportunities within the total supply chain.
• 
  Continuous Improvement Process mindset in order to deliver results within a rapidly changing environment.
• 
  Other duties as assigned to support business needs

Qualifications:

• 
  Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, food industry, or related disciplines. Master's/MBA, a plus.
• 
  4 years’ experience in procurement/supply chain function within manufacturing or food industry with specific focus on indirect spend involving multiple sites.
• 
  Detailed understanding of StP tools (SAP) with advanced literacy in all Microsoft applications.
• 
  Strategic Procurement:
  • 
    In depth experience with indirect materials and CapEx.
  • 
    Understanding of markets of critical areas of spend management and fundamentals that make up price risk management.
  • 
    Understand financial goals of Corbion and critical project timelines and proactively manage those activities.
  • 
    Able to collaborate with others, develop, and execute sourcing strategies, and RFx packages.
  • 
    Experience conducting bids & negotiating complex agreements.
  • 
    Able to compare, contrast, and present summary of offers demonstrating values of quantitative and qualitative factors.
  • 
    Familiarity with supplier management and contract management.
  • 
    Diligence to document activities in established systems for projects, savings, and compliance data.
  • 
    Advanced skillset including time management, prioritization, and delivering on promise while managing multiple projects in a fast and dynamic environment.
  • 
    Able to maintain active involvement and full awareness of Procurement specific teams, projects, and programs.

    Must possess organizational awareness & business acumen, an understanding of team concept, and be willing to leading by example.

    Proven experience of leading a team and delivering results in a timely fashion.
