Qualifications:
• AS/BS or equivalent. Certificate in soldering (IPC-610, IPC-620, J-Standard-001), 5+ year’s experience in working with electro-mechanical equipment particularly Laser and Optical systems
• Experience operating benchtop laboratory and metrology instruments such as: multimeters, oscilloscopes, microscopes, SEM, profilometers, calipers, micrometers
• Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and electrical schematics
• Experience in assembling, troubleshooting, debugging, testing of complex automation equipment
• Experience in SMT soldering, rework, cable and wire harness fabrication, integration and testing (0402, 0201)
• Software literacy – MS Office, command line interfaces, control software…etc.
• Experience leading or managing a team of R&D Technicians (hire, train, evaluate)
Responsibilities:
• Assemble, rework, troubleshoot, maintain, and test new designs of machines that perform a complex automated manufacturing process. SMT soldering and wire harness fabrication.
• SMT soldering, wire harness fabrication, integration, and test.
• Collaborate with engineering.
• Build and rework assemblies and sub-assemblies in our prototype shop.
• Work with engineering to produce electro-mechanical assembly documentation and work instructions. Building, troubleshooting and reworking electromechanical assemblies.
