Paladin is now LHH Recruitment Solutions! We are partnering with our Seattle, WA professional services client in their search for a Communications Specialist to join their team on a permanent basis. In this role, you will join a tight-knit marketing and communications team as a dedicated writing and communications resource, drafting, editing and repurposing long and short-form content for internal and external use across the organization. You will master the organization's voice and will write blogs, press releases, digital marketing campaigns (email, social media, etc.) and similar content. You will also be able to innovate across other marketing and communications duties based on your strengths, including running social media and email campaigns, handling media relations work, design, and/or similar duties. To be a fit, you should bring 2+ years of communications, marketing and/or PR experience (ideally a blend of the three). Excellent writing experience is a must, and you should be able to provide a portfolio or other relevant work samples for review.
This team provides a culture of collaboration and learning, so you will get to work with subject-matter experts and learn about their niche to better write about their work. Best of all, this organization is known for mission-driven projects and work that makes the world a better place! This is a permanent, salaried role with pay ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 annually. They provide a full benefits package, with an opportunity for any and all organization employees to earn an annual bonus. This is a hybrid role, set to average three days onsite in downtown Seattle.
You will:
- Serve the organization as a dedicated writing and communications resource, drafting, editing and repurposing long and short-form content for internal and external use across the organization, including press releases, blogs, digital marketing campaigns (email, social media, etc.), internal communications materials and similar
- Collaborate closely with the marketing and communications team, along with company leaders and other internal teams, to scope new content projects, gather relevant information, etc.
- Work on PR projects, including media relations, drafting press releases, and other similar duties
- Support other areas of the communications ecosystem within the company based on your skills and experience
Your experience should include:
- 2+ years of communications, marketing and/or PR experience with strong writing skills
- Experience writing content for both internal and external communications purposes and working in both long and short-form content
- Deep knowledge of SEO and AP Style
- Relevant industry experience in professional services, government or other similar spaces
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Additional experience in email marketing, design, social media optimization or similar, highly preferred and values
