Responsibilities Include, But Not Limited To
• Manages and executes outreach efforts for all State of New Jersey related relationships. Responsible for cultivating existing relationships with leadership at the State and building new relationships to create touch points to share the credit union message.
• Must be able to communicate in both English and Spanish to various audiences.
• Seeks out and recommends advertising and touch point opportunities to promote growth of CU of NJ membership. Manages those specific initiatives in collaboration with marketing.
• Responsible for collaborating with the Business Development Director on the development of a marketing plan for assigned territory, State of New Jersey.
• Attends events and programs related to the State of New Jersey and within the community and professionally represents the credit union brand. As needed, represents the credit union during community projects and at public, social, and business gatherings.
• Presents engaging seminars on a variety of topics and speaks at events to promote the credit union in both English and Spanish.
• Utilizes business development CRM and documents all engagement activities and results. Compiles reports as requested.
• Develops social media strategies, as well as other business development tactics, as it relates to growing the assigned territory.
• Collaborates closely with the Financial Well-being Impact Officer to create opportunities for financial well-being education across multiple mediums. Consistently identifies new educational content opportunities based on the needs of the membership. Coordinates the events with appropriate parties.
• Tracks results for all business development related campaigns for the State of New Jersey,
• Coordinates marketing surveys and communication, in partnership with Marketing, that impacts State employees.
• Recommends specific products and offers that will deepen relationships within assigned territory to attract new members.
• Embraces a flexible work schedule; attends occasional morning, evening, and weekend meetings and events as required.
• Must have reliable transportation to ensure consistent and timely attendance.
• Willingness to drive long distances as part of the role, with potential for travel across the entire New Jersey Region
• Ability to manage transportation needs independently and adapt to varying travel demands when required.
• Fosters a positive work environment across all departments of the credit union.
• Works to build strategic relationships to increase deposit and loan volume in the assigned territory.
• Participates in required regulatory and credit union training programs; and receives a passing grade on all required tests.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
• A Bachelor’s degree plus or a minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience.
• Strong analytical abilities, excellent member service skills, be highly motivated, goal oriented, and a good communicator with strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, people, and presentation skills.
• Employee may be required to attend training sessions and seminars both in house and outside of the Credit Union.
• Ability to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations to existing and potential SEGs, schools, and other groups within the membership or general community.
• Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Willing to earn a certified credit union financial counselor (CCUFC) designation through the Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) within 12 months of being hired.

This individual must be available for scheduling during Credit Union operating hours. Staffing assignments are periodically adjusted to meet business needs. This position could be transferred to another office in the same geographic region at any time.
