Maintaining the overall look and feel of a Michaels store is crucial. We expect our Store Team Members to uphold high standards of cleanliness and recovery to deliver our Brand Promises.

Providing friendly customer service, helping customers shop our store and find what they're looking for are key responsibilities.
• Cleaning trash from the floor according to approved procedures.
• Dusting and damp mopping floors following approved protocols.
• Relocating equipment and products for proper cleaning and restocking.
• Cleaning assigned areas using assigned materials and equipment, which may include mixing cleaning solutions according to specifications.
• Deep cleaning key areas such as bathrooms, breakrooms, entryways, and other high-traffic zones to maintain a clean and safe environment for customers and staff.
• Maintaining orderliness with cleaning equipment and notifying supervisors of supply needs in advance for replenishment.
• Identifying and completing tasks that require attention.
• Completing all tasks assigned by supervisors.
• Performing tasks in accordance with federal, state, and county guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Ensuring a fast and friendly checkout experience while adhering to cash handling standards.
• Engaging customers about benefits of Rewards programs and Private Label Credit Cards, facilitating enrollments.
• Supporting Omni-channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship from Store (SFS).
• Participating in truck unloading, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Aiding shrink and safety initiatives.
• Complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company policies to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Retail and/or cleaning experience is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Store Team Members must be able to stand for extended periods, move throughout the store, engage in regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching, and lift heavy boxes or access high shelves using ladders or similar equipment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Team Members work in a public retail store setting, where all public areas are climate-controlled. Some stock rooms might not be climate-controlled, and outdoor work may be required for tasks like retrieving shopping carts or unloading trucks. The frame shop contains glass cutters and heat presses, and work hours include nights, weekends, and early mornings.

Team Members use standard commercial cleaners and chemicals from cleaning supplies.
