About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for a full-time Associate position, commencing in Spring or Summer 2025. This role will be located in our San Francisco, California office.
Responsibilities
We are looking for pro-active individuals with strong analytical and communication skills. In this role, you will closely collaborate with our team to develop specialized knowledge, identify promising investment opportunities, and perform due diligence throughout the investment process. You will also act as a representative of the firm while engaging with company executives, other investment firms, and key advisors.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Formulating and evaluating investment theses on targeted companies and sectors, presenting findings to the team.
- Creating and delivering comprehensive data-driven thematic and company-specific research reports that analyze key trends in technology.
- Conducting detailed research on both public and private companies, including competitive landscapes and industry news.
- Developing and nurturing professional relationships with entrepreneurs, investors, and advisors.
- Monitoring and analyzing industry trends, corporate actions, funding events, and exits.
- Preparing material for investment committee meetings, highlighting significant operational and financial data of companies.
Skills and Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with a GPA of 3.5/4.0 or higher and strong standardized test scores.
- Outstanding critical thinking and communication abilities.
- 1-2+ years of experience in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modeling.
- 1-2+ years of experience in investing, finance, consulting, or investment banking, particularly in technology.
Additional Qualifications
- A collaborative spirit with a mindset to discuss and assess investment merits and risks constructively.
- Ability to efficiently manage and prioritize tasks.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, with the ability to create models from the ground up.
- Experience in market mapping and conducting desktop research.
- Ability to independently make informed decisions amidst uncertainty.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- High levels of integrity, work ethic, and professionalism.
- Passion for networking within the startup ecosystem, including connections with entrepreneurs and funds.
- Receptiveness to constructive feedback.
- A strong sense of intellectual curiosity and meticulous attention to detail.

Compensation & Benefits
At Trimer Capital Management, we are committed to attracting and retaining top talent by offering competitive and fair compensation. Our total compensation structure includes salary, variable compensation, and robust benefits. The base salary for this position ranges from:
Salary: USD $125,000 - 200,000
This salary range reflects various factors considered in compensation decisions, including skills, experience, and education. Additional compensation details will be provided during the recruitment process.
Base salary is just one component of our total compensation package, which may also include bonuses and other incentives. We offer an extensive benefits package designed to meet our employees’ needs, including retirement plans, health coverage, flexible spending accounts, and paid time off.
