Manufacturing Quality Engineer Responsibilities:
1. Ensure the quality and reliability of the BBU (Battery Backup Unit) reuse program
2. Design data models to compare the batterys life cycles and assess the speed differences in degradations
3. Manage compute programs by providing reliability performance metrics and work closely with data center teams to set processes and expedite retrieval of samples
4. Ensure the quality and reliability of the batteries by creating dashboards in Tableau that help monitor their status and pinpoint any anomalies
5. Develop and implement production analytics for Meta, Inc. open compute, storage, and machine learning/video hardware
6. Engage the supply chain and data center teams as a technical resource and leader during the entire product lifecycle
7. Ensure product reliability targets are met by designing statistical test methods, establishing standards, and driving continuous improvement projects with Meta, Inc. manufacturing partners and key commodity suppliers
8. Work with the global manufacturing and supplier quality engineering teams to drive root cause and corrective action for failures during server integration and in the data centers
9. Collaborate with hardware engineering and manufacturers for PCBA (printed circuit board assembly) and system design for manufacturability, testability, serviceability, and reliability
10. Knowledge of PCBA manufacturing processes, compute, and storage architectures
11. Set standard practices and provide engineering support with respect to technically complex testing methods and procedures
12. Telecommute from anywhere in the U.S. permitted (remote work benefit)

13. Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or related field. Position also requires completion of a university-level course/research project/internship/thesis, or 6 months of experience in the following
14. Product development, manufacturing processes, and test/debug methodologies for electronics
15. Server and storage hardware architecture and technologies
16. PCBA assembly and test processes
17. Interpreting detailed test results for server products
18. Demonstrated use of quality tools and methodologies in a manufacturing and/or engineering environment
19. Scripting skills in Bash, Perl, or Python
20. Expertise and background that spans HPC and ML/AI
21. Understanding in AI/ML models, assembly and test requirements from Supplier through system integration
