Elementary Classroom Teacher

Yeshiva School is a parochial school in the Squirrel Hill neighborhood of Pittsburgh. The school provides a dual-curriculum and single gender model for our students. Students spend part of the day learning General Studies (Reading, Math, Science, and Social) and part of the day learning Religious Studies.

Yeshiva provides small classroom sizes and a welcoming space.

Job Description:

We are seeking 4th/5th grade teachers for all subjects.

Teachers are responsible for:

-Creating a safe and welcoming learning environment

-Planning and submitting lesson plans weekly

- Delivering high quality lessons

-Assessing students and using data to plan interventions

-Differentiating based on student needs

-Collaborating with colleagues

-Participating in trainings

-Acting in a professional manner

-Meeting mandates in staff handbook including attendance and dress code

-Communicating with parents on a regular basis

-Participating in weekly meetings with principal

-Completing other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

- Degree in Elementary Education or Middle School Education preferred, but not required

- PA Certification preferred, but not required

Benefits

-Our salaries range from $30,000 to $40,000 depending on education level, certification, and experience -We offer medical benefits

-In addition to 10 personal/sick days, we have additional time off due to religious holidays (in all about 10-12 weeks throughout the school year)
