SUMMARY
The Planning Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining client data and accounts and providing exceptional client services while ensuring compliance and operational efficiencies.
SALARY
$50,000 - $60,000 plus structured bonuses. Base Salary will be based on education and experience
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Annual Strategy Review:
• Create annual client review documents for approval and prepare advisors for client meetings.
• Review updated planning with clients in planning calls.
• Update planning console with relevant client updates and planning strategies.
• Make recommendations when applicable on investment strategy and rebalancing.
Trade Execution and Reconciliation:
• Execute trades and ensure proper settlement.
• Reconcile trading activity and account statements.
• Collaborate with the investment team to implement investment decisions.
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their inquiries and providing timely and accurate information.
• Understand clients financial goals and objectives to tailor financial solutions that meet their needs.
Financial Planning:
• Collaborate with clients to develop comprehensive financial plans aligned with their goals.
• Provide guidance on investment strategies, asset allocation, and risk management.
• Stay abreast of market trends and developments to offer informed advice.
Portfolio Management:
• Work closely with investment teams to ensure client portfolios are aligned with their financial objectives.
• Monitor and analyze portfolio performance, making recommendations for adjustments as needed.
• Implement investment strategies in accordance with clients risk tolerance and preferences.
Client Education:
• Educate clients on financial markets, investment strategies, and economic trends.
• Conduct periodic reviews with clients to assess progress towards financial goals and
adjust strategies as necessary.
Compliance and Reporting:
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Generate and present regular reports to clients on portfolio performance and financial plans.
Firm Engagement:
• Actively contribute to the investment committee, provide research materials and any reporting needed that is requested by the investment committee members.
• Provide and manage Company investment and strategy research.
• Assist and implement marketing activities of the Company as needed.
• Create proposals and investment recommendations for prospective as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
• Ability to take direction from multiple sources with demonstrated follow through.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High level of confidentiality is essential.
• Commitment to meeting established deadlines and managing time effectively.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite as well as CRM and Portfolio Reporting software.
• Self-motivated, confident, detail-oriented, and analytical.
• Client first attitude, professional demeanor, personal integrity, and an understanding of fiduciaryresponsibility.
• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through.
• Self-starter with high initiative and comfort working in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to partner effectively in a team and build trust and confidence of colleagues.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment and a willingness to “pitch in” when necessary.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s or associate Degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a client service role or within the financial services industry in general
is required.
