Communications Coordinator / Digital Press Operator
Founded in 2009, Stone Tower Winery is a family-owned and operated vineyard and winery located on over 400 acres in Leesburg, VA dedicated to crafting world-class wines from our estate vineyards.
We’re seeking a motivated, focused, and enthusiastic individual to join our team in the role of communications coordinator. This role involves operating and using our digital press to create printed materials, along with using design software to create digital assets. The right candidate is looking for a role in which they can work as part of a dynamic team to create the best possible experience for our guests, and is self-directed and proactive in seeking out improvement opportunities.
Role Purpose
The Communications Coordinator ensures quality control and consistency in written and visual materials for the winery. This role updates materials for both print and digital spaces, assesses existing visual communications, and aligns all content with the winery’s style guide under the guidance of the Director of Communications.
Key Responsibilities
• Create, update, and distribute customer marketing materials, including; menus, flyers & marketing materials, signage, booklets, and more.
• Maintain stock of printed materials to ensure consistent availability.
• Monitor and review customer messaging across signage, social media, item descriptions, and other platforms.
• Identify and correct errors in communications or escalate issues as needed.
• Provide administrative support, including document creation and data entry.
• Conduct periodic site-wide reviews of physical and digital communication materials.
• Maintain reprographic equipment and manage printing supplies.
• Create and update staff learning materials, making them accessible via the internal wiki.
• Inform staff about updated materials during weekly team meetings and through POS system notifications.
• Attend meetings with the Director of Communications to review performance and set priorities.
• Contribute to the development and organization of the Stone Tower Winery style guide.
• Organize and catalog digital assets for consistency.
• Implement and adhere to the company safety program, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Uphold and align with Stone Tower Winery’s core values.
• Manage special projects as assigned by the supervisor.
• Adhere to all company policies outlined in the Employee Handbook.
Qualifications
• Previous graphic design experience or education (primarily using Adobe CC; InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop).
• Previous digital press or reprographic experience is desirable, but not necessary.
• Strong IT skills are highly desirable, including familiarity with content management systems, digital asset organization, and troubleshooting basic technical issues.
• Comfortable using digital tools and learning new systems.
• Self-directed and proactive; eager to identify and solve problems.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for clear, effective communication and design.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to maintain consistency in branding and messaging.
• Experience working with both print and digital media.
• Ability to collaborate with various departments and gather insights from staff.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
