Forklift Operator

About the Role As a DHL Forklift Operator, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of goods within our warehouse. You'll operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport materials, contributing to the smooth flow of our logistics operations. Key Responsibilities • Forklift Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to move, stack, and retrieve goods. • Loading and Unloading: Load and unload shipments from trucks, trailers, and containers. • Material Handling: Transport materials to designated storage locations within the warehouse. • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records of material movement. • Order Fulfillment: Pick and stage orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including wearing appropriate safety equipment. • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and report any malfunctions. • Warehouse Organization: Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of material movement and equipment operation. Qualifications • Valid forklift operator certification. • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment. • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to (specify weight) pounds). • Strong attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. • Good communication and teamwork skills. • Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures. • Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and labels.
