The Business Development Representative (BDR) is an important member of the Sales and Marketing organization who is responsible for following-up with leads generated by Marketing campaigns, qualifying leads and converting them to contacts, coordinating meetings between the prospect and sales executive, and providing a warm-handoff. This position offers a base salary + commission of $45,000 - $65,000. Magna5 employees who demonstrate high performance will have the opportunity for career advancement within the sales organization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and collaboratively with Sales and Marketing team and leadership to develop and improve prospecting strategies
- Leverage Marketing-generated, inbound leads and targeted account lists, leads and contacts to conduct high-volume outbound calls to achieve weekly, monthly, and quarterly lead conversion, opportunities created, and appointments-set goals
- Conduct pre-qualifying discussions with prospects over the phone or videoconference to understand the key metrics, identify the economic buyer, evaluate their decision criteria and process, understand their pain points, and identify an internal champion
- Document all activity in Salesforce, including logging calls; updating lead, contact and account information; and coordinating appointments between prospect and sales executives.
- Engage and maintain contact with qualified prospects through email, live chat, LinkedIn connections, and phone conversations, ultimately designed to set appointments for sales executives.
KPIs: Daily, weekly, and quarterly
- Outbound and inbound call activity (75-100 activities per day)
- Lead-generating email and social media activity (25+ activities per day)
- Number of sales meeting set
- Number of sales meeting kept
- 1-2 years of B2B sales or related B2B demand generation experience
- Prior sales or marketing experience with technology solutions in a consultative sales role or environment
- Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant sales experience
- Previous experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
