Are you a self-driven individual with excellent driving and customer service skills? Do you enjoy traveling and experiencing different cities and states? Then this is the job for you!
A FedEx Ground Contractor has IMMEDIATE openings for traveling delivery drivers! We are looking for motivated, safe drivers who will provide outstanding service to our customers. Drivers will travel to assigned cities and assist FedEx terminals with delivering packages. Drivers will operate in vehicles provided by the employer. Prior FedEx Ground experience required. References from prior contractors will be contacted before hiring.
Working Hours
· Normal Scheduled Start Time is between 7am and 8am
· End Time can vary depending on weather, package volume, seasons, and employer discretion
· Working Days are Monday through Saturday and some Sundays as needed with no more than 6 days per week.
Pay
· Starting pay is $150 - $190 Per Day, D.O.E.
· $50 Per Diem given each day while traveling
·Additional pay per stop for every delivery/pickup made
· Housing is paid for while traveling
· Pay increases based on performance and dedication
· Paid Training
· Weekly Pay
· Referral Program
Delivery Driver Responsibilities
· Report to terminal prepared to examine and organize daily load before departure
· Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip van inspections
· Deliver and pick up all assigned packages within the prescribed time windows
· Handle and maneuver packages of varying sizes and weights (up to 150lbs.) without damage to the package or injury to oneself or others
· Provide friendly and professional customer service while delivering packages
· Utilize scanning technology and electronic devices to track and record delivery information
· Adhere to all local traffic laws and safety regulations
· Operate delivery van safely, securely, and competently
· Learn the routes and customer needs serviced by our company
· Other duties as assigned
Delivery Driver Requirements
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Must have a valid driver’s license
· Must submit to a background check and motor vehicle report
· Ability to pass a DOT Physical and Drug Test
· Ability to lift up to 150lbs utilizing a dolly
· Ability to get in and out of a vehicle multiple times every day
· Ability to work in all weather conditions
Additional duties as assigned by their supervisor
