Graduate Assistant Pool
POSITION
The Department of Finance at CSU Fullerton invites applications for its Graduate Assistant Pool.
This is a pool of Graduate Assistants for the department to draw on as necessary.
APPOINTMENTS FROM THE POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM. APPLICANTS MAY BE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT ON VERY SHORT NOTICE.
JOB DUTIES
Provide assistance to faculty in searching for, collecting and summarizing research data and publications. Assist faculty with evaluating student work and examinations, and other duties as assigned.
Assist in the departmental office in providing guidance and information.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Candidates must be a currently enrolled graduate student
- Excellent computer skills including Office, Excel and PowerPoint and other spreadsheet experience.
- Type 40 CWAM and have a working knowledge of library and internet research.
- Must have an excellent command of English both oral and written
- Be able to follow directions, show initiative, be reliable and have the ability to assist with large classes

Graduate students in the College of Business

COMPENSATION
$2,905 to $3,921 per month, prorated by time base
All Graduate Assistant appointments are made under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the CSU system and the United Auto Workers.
Initial appointments are for one semester only.

Please note, that continued employment is contingent upon your successful completion of a background screening as required under CSU policy.
Graduate Assistants rehired at CSUF after a break in service of 12 or more months who have not had a CSUF background check within the past 12 months will be subject to a new background check;
rehire is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of the new background check.
