Material Handler II (Forklift) (6am-2pm)

Litehouse Foods is looking to hire a strategic full-time Material Handler II.

The Material Handler II will receive and supply raw materials and dressings as production needs required, pick orders, load/unload trucks, ship orders, and receive items with a fork truck.

Essential Job Duties
• Drive powered industrial truck equipped with lifting devices to move materials and/or accurately pick/stack customer orders or receive vendor orders.
• Manually load or unload materials onto or off of pallets, or lifting devices, follow stacking patterns to ensure safety and customer quality is achieved.
• Maintain accurate inventory and inventory transactions.
• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor.
• Utilize hand-held scanner data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability.
• Must be able to achieve and maintain certification to operate industrial powered equipment appropriate for this position.
• Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeeping throughout the facility and grounds.
• Must be able to frequently work overtime and weekends as necessary.

Qualifications
• High school diploma/GED Strongly preferred
• Comfortable working in a cool, refrigerated environment
• Forklift experience preferred
• Detail orientated, self motivated and capable of working with little supervision

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
• Must be detail orientated and must maintain accurate documentation.
• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas effectively and efficiently.
• Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently with little supervision.
• Ability to multi-task, working in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
