Job Summary of Store Support Crew:

Being a Store Support Crew entails organizing and replenishing merchandise, processing payments, and upholding cleanliness standards to uphold the store's visual appeal. You will elevate the overall shopping experience for customers by engaging with the ALDI team and delivering top-notch customer support.

Responsibilities of Store Support Crew:

• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

• Processes customer purchases, perform general cleaning duties, stocks shelves and merchandise displays neatly
• Provide exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their shopping experience
• Collaborate with team members and communicate clearly to the store management team
• Provide feedback to management on all products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues
• Participate in taking store inventory counts according to guidelines and monitoring inventory for accuracy
• Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses
• Complies with all established company policies and procedures while upholding the security and confidentiality of documents and data
• Other duties as assigned

Physical Demands of Store Support Crew:

• Skill in arranging merchandise from store receiving to shelf placement; proficiency in placing items, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at different elevations
• Expected to engage in a variety of physical movements including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking throughout the store
• Required to carry out tasks with or without the need for reasonable accommodation

Qualifications of Store Support Crew:

• Applicants must meet the minimum age requirement of 18 years to be considered for employment at ALDI
• Proficiency in delivering quick and friendly customer support
• Skill in effectively operating a cash register with precision
• Proficiency in the safe and correct operation of equipment, such as electric or manual hand pallet movers, floor cleaning machines, and compactors for cardboard
• Proficiency in carrying out cleaning responsibilities up to the company's expectations
• Skill in comprehending and utilizing corporate policies and guidelines
• Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities
• Capability to operate effectively in both group settings and individual scenarios
• Exhibiting adeptness in staying structured, paying heed to particulars, abiding by directives, and managing multiple tasks with professionalism and efficacy
• Ensure adherence to the necessary state and local mandates governing the handling and distribution of alcoholic drinks
• It is recommended to hold a high school diploma or a similar certification
• It is advantageous to have prior work history in a retail atmosphere
• A blend of academic learning and hands-on practice resulting in comparable proficiency
