Academic Assistant
The Academic Assistant 1 provides support to the Registrar and academic leadership by overseeing the odd-term academic calendar, performing academic planning and research, assisting with student class/work conflicts, and assisting with other projects as needed.
Oversee the Odd-Term Academic Calendar
Gather odd-term (pre-term, interterm, post-term) work requests from supervisors and schedule odd-term meetings as needed.
Support Academic Planning and Research
Oversee classroom locations and furnishings. Process academic reports each semester and conduct other academic research as needed.
Assist with Student Class and Work Conflicts
Solve student class/work conflicts in coordination with work supervisors. Process work supervisor class change requests during Drop/Add.
Perform General Responsibilities
Maintain prerequisite paths for each major, process class withdrawals, and assist with other academic projects as needed.
FLSA Status - Scanning (Non-exempt)
Education
College Degree (Required), Master's Degree
Work Experience
1+ years in academic planning, 3+ years in an office
Physical Requirements and Skills
Detail-Oriented, Multitasking, Operating Office Equipment, Organizing, Stress Management
Ideal candidates must be born-again Christians and must be dedicated to training young people for serving God; and must desire to educate students based on biblical values and be committed to excellence as a Christian educator who glorifies Christ as the source of all wisdom and knowledge. Applicants must agree with Pensacola Christian College's Mission, Purpose & Objectives, Doctrinal Position, Philosophy of Education, and Faculty & Staff Commitments. We reserve the right to fill this role at a higher/lower grade level based on ministry needs. An assessment may be required to be considered for this position.
