We are a highly successful law firm working to protect workers and individuals throughout California. We are a mature and well established law firm (2008), but we are relatively new to the digital marketing arena without a lot of pre-established legacy processes or tool stacks. There is adequate and meaningful data from 2020 through today to help guide our plans for 2023 and the future This means an exciting opportunity to build a new brand and corporate marketing framework leveraging brand new assets without the drag attributable to overcoming years of poorly executed or obsolete infrastructure.

We are a Digital Marketing team of three (SEO/Content, Paid Media, Social Media) that works closely with the Mainstream Media team (TV, outdoor, affiliations), executives of the firm, and outside contractors to deliver creative marketing campaigns that drive business growth through new customer acquisition by capitalizing on opportunities to raise brand awareness and increase market share

The SEO Specialist will join our in-house marketing team as the hands-on, primary go-to and in-house expert for SEO and website marketing related duties ranging from technical SEO, link-building, guide content development and monitor online reputation management edits to deep-dive audits for technical and strategic SEO improvements. The SEO Specialist reports to the Marketing Executive and interfaces heavily with the paid digital team, social marketing team, senior management, and the IT team as well as outside service providers. This role requires good writing skills, analytic skills, executive level communication and knowledge of technical SEO. We are looking for a team player who is a driven and highly motivated SEO expert. A personality highly suited for this role is someone proactive, a self-starter who takes initiative, a strong attention to detail, and business-savvy project prioritization capability.

We have a particular need immediately to bolster our GBP (Google Business Profile) and hyper-local SEO efforts, law firm review development.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
• Writing, editing and manager of outside services for blogs, new pages, reworking existing pages, composition for whole new categories for the website(s)
• Familiarity with content management systems and landing page tools
• Intermediate-level web-programming and site editing skills
• SEO insight for both short-term and long-term success strategies
• Daily monitoring of SEO and qualified lead generation effectiveness
• Keyword research to ensure we are optimized for superior positioning
• Create and maintain SEO project timelines and results (keyword rankings, local rankings)
• Outreach and link building including directories, sponsorships, community service, blogs, etc.
• Competitive analysis and key idea adoption
• Drive adoption of current SEO best practices for algorithm and UX/UI changes
• Ongoing technology review and adoption

Strongly Preferred Qualifications
• A strong business sense and lead generation insight
• Able to identify metrics and business driven prioritization of projects
• Legal industry experience or highly competitive service industry lead generation experience
• Executive level/C-Suite communication experience
