We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Emergency Medical Responder to join our team. As an Emergency Medical Responder, you will play a critical role in providing immediate medical care to individuals experiencing medical emergencies. You will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, providing basic life support, and ensuring patients are stabilized for transport to medical facilities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of urgency, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work well under pressure. Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential in this role, as you will often be interacting with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient conditions and provide appropriate emergency medical care
  • Administer basic life support techniques, such as CPR and airway management
  • Immobilize patients and transport them to medical facilities using appropriate medical equipment and techniques
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and provide ongoing medical care as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including documentation of treatments and medications administered
  • Stay current on the latest emergency medical procedures and protocols

Requirements

  • Valid certification as an Emergency Medical Responder
  • Excellent knowledge of emergency medical procedures and protocols
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
  • Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move patients safely
  • Sensitivity and compassion towards patients and their families
  • Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
