Position Overview: We are seeking a dependable and skilled Stone Slinger Driver/Operator with a Class B CDL to join our team in the Wellington or Golden, Colorado area. As a Stone Slinger Driver/Operator for Blayde Corporation, you will be responsible for operating our state-of-the-art stone slinger trucks to transport and precisely place materials such as crushed rock, sand, and gravel. You will play a critical role in ensuring that materials are delivered and placed accurately and efficiently, on time, and in compliance with all DOT regulations and company safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operate Stone Slinger Trucks: Safely and efficiently operate stone slinger trucks to transport and place a variety of materials, including crushed rock, sand, and gravel, into precise locations such as basements, tank beds, and tight construction areas.
• Material Delivery: Ensure that materials are loaded correctly onto the stone slinger truck and that they do not exceed weight restrictions.
• Equipment Operation: Use the truck's advanced conveyor system to deliver and distribute materials accurately on-site.
• Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of the truck, including checking oil, gas, water levels, lights, and tires.
• Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on the truck and promptly report any mechanical issues or faults to management.
• Driver Logs and Compliance: Maintain accurate driver logs and ensure full compliance with DOT road safety regulations.
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by effectively communicating with clients and team members.
• Flexibility: Must be able and willing to assist with operating other equipment, shoveling, raking, installing liners, and other hands-on tasks as needed.
Skills/Requirements:
• Commercial Driver’s License: Valid Class B CDL is required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience driving dump trucks or similar vehicles. Experience with stone slinger trucks or similar equipment is highly preferred.
• Mechanical Knowledge: Ability to shift an 8-speed manual transmission and perform routine maintenance checks.
• Safety Compliance: Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and a clean driving record.
• Customer Service: Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Physical Ability: Must be able to operate the truck in various weather conditions and perform manual tasks as required.

Work Location: We have shops located in Wellington and Golden, Colorado. Truck drivers are required to report to one of these locations daily to pick up their trucks. While the majority of our work is in the Denver and Northern Colorado areas, we do have projects throughout Colorado, as well as occasional travel to Wyoming and other surrounding states. Travel is required up to 25% of the time.
