Rural Health Network of SCNY, Inc. is looking for a full-time Finance Director with experience in fund /or government accounting. Accounting, Business Administration or related degree required, plus 3 or more years experience managing all financial aspects of moderate size non-profit or other business/governmental agency. Position responsible for AP/AR, accounting, grant and other contract financial management requiring expense allocation across multiple cost centers and contract vouchering for county, NYS, federal government plus smaller private foundation grants on monthly, quarterly and other schedules as defined by funders.
The ideal candidate should be highly organized, have excellent attention to detail, communication skills and be capable of complying with multiple funders’ requirements for reporting and vouchering. The Finance Director will work closely with the Executive Director, especially with contract expenditure monitoring and budget planning/development.
Rural Health Network is a $2.5M agency predominantly funded through government grants. We employ 25 individuals and are overseen by a Board of Directors. Our primary office is in Binghamton. Rural Health Network provides a pleasant working environment with comfortable work space and positive interaction among all staff. The Finance Director will prepare monthly reports for the Finance Committee, the Board of Directors and department directors. The Finance Director is part of the agency management team and is expected to work collaboratively and support the administrative team and all program directors. Given demands of our grant funding, the ideal candidate should be able to work effectively under deadlines and occasionally other stress factors.
