Radiation Oncology Specialist

Houston Methodist is seeking a skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a crucial role in assisting in the planning, treatments, and monitoring of patients with cancer.

• Assist in the planning, treatment, and monitoring of patients with cancer.
• Provide radiation therapy treatment while functioning as an essential member of the radiation oncology treatment team.
• Promote a positive work environment and contribute to a dynamic, team-focused work unit that actively helps one another to achieve optimal department results.

1. Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with others to facilitate providing the highest quality service during every customer and patient encounter.
2. Education and Training: Provide education, accurate explanations, and instructions to patients and family members at an appropriate level using verbal and non-verbal skills, terminology, and language.
3. Treatment Planning and Delivery: Deliver a planned course of radiation therapy accurately and safely, as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.
4. Patient Safety and Care: Assess the patient's condition, needs, and side effects daily, provide information, and refer the patient to the appropriate resources in a sensitive manner.
