Overview
Eye Surgery Associates is seeking an energetic and patient-focused Ophthalmic Scribe to work in our multi-specialty practice in Pembroke Pines, Florida. This role offers regular hours, a comprehensive benefits package, and a collaborative environment with opportunities for career advancement.
We are looking for Certified Ophthalmic Assistants, Technicians or medical assistants who share our commitment to providing exceptional patient care and customer service.
As an Ophthalmic Scribe, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of patient documentation and communication. Your responsibilities will include:
• Providing accurate and thorough documentation of examinations and recommendations
• Maintaining patient flow and communicating appointment status
• Documenting medical visits and procedures as they are performed by the physician
• Communicating with patients regarding follow-up care, surgeries, and procedures
• Maintaining and cleaning ophthalmic equipment
• Applying correct ICD-10 and CPT Codes
• Navigating electronic health records (EHR) software
• Completing prescription refills and educating patients on medication administration
To be successful in this role, you will need:
• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and doctors
• Basic computer literacy and experience with EHR software
• High energy and a positive attitude
• The ability to travel to other offices occasionally
