We are looking for a Field IT Engineer in the West Michigan area who will work with clients to troubleshoot issues, build relationships, gather information about their IT infrastructure, and work with our Remote Support team to resolve issues. This position is also responsible for administrative tasks such as filling out ticket notes and completing time sheets in a timely manner.

Who You Are:

• You have a High School Diploma or GED equivalent. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT is preferred!
• You have 3-5 years of IT experience in a client-facing technical troubleshooting role.
• You have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Windows OS, networking, and computer hardware/software repair.

What You’re Accountable For:

• Providing onsite support for contract and on-call clients.
• Building relationships with clients in your territory.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, maintaining, installing, and performing testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication, and computer network systems.
• Completing work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices or creating components of autonomous networks, installing disk drives, and correcting definitions on data switches and protocol converters.
• Attending ongoing onsite visits to ensure technology is up to date.
• Interfacing with 3^rd parties to facilitate manufacturer warranty support.
• Working with the Remote Support Team to help resolve client issues as they arise.
• Advising clients in a variety of IT best practices and concepts.
• Attending project handoff meetings for clients.
• Accurately completing and updating tickets in ConnectWise.
