Service Manager Trainee

Job Summary of Service Manager Trainee:

By enrolling as a Service Manager Trainee you will receive training that encompasses all aspects of effectively operating a store in readiness for taking charge of your store in the future. Your duties will involve overseeing the day-to-day operations of the store, guaranteeing its overall performance, recognizing the need for staff, handling schedules, and formulating operational plans while providing mentorship and fostering the team's growth.

Duties and Responsibilities of Service Manager Trainee:

• Should possess the ability to fulfill responsibilities with or without accommodations as needed. Show consistent adherence to the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) outlined for the job.
• Manages the team's activities and achievements on a daily basis to ensure excellent customer service attainment. Grasps the broader company vision, communicates it effectively, and sets an example of the organization's fundamental beliefs to establish a collaborative and cohesive team atmosphere among workers. Addresses customer issues promptly and secures a fitting solution
• Ensures proper store signage is maintained at all times, as well as the quality and freshness of ALDI products Assists in the hiring of store personnel by reviewing resumes and employment applications, as well as interviewing candidates Prepares, manages, and revises weekly schedules to ensure appropriate store staffing levels
• Setting forth and effectively conveying job roles and performance criteria to subordinates for the purpose of mutual comprehension and goal achievement
• Leads store assemblies, pinpoints training prospects to aid subordinates in enhancing their performance, and handles annual performance reviews. Attains store payroll and overall loss objectives and oversees cash audits in collaboration with their superior according to established company policies. Monitors the competitive landscape in the vicinity and offers suggestions to their superior on necessary adjustments to maintain competitiveness
• Offers feedback to their manager on products, such as proposing additions to the range or discontinuing underperforming items. Maintains a secure environment for staff, customers, and suppliers by identifying and resolving hazards, promoting proper ergonomics, and upholding the maintenance of store equipment. Manages product presentation and ensures optimal inventory levels through strategic ordering
• Adheres to all existing company regulations and guidelines while maintaining the confidentiality and security of records and information

Physical Demands of Service Manager Trainee:

• Proficiency in arranging goods from store reception to setting them up on shelves; proficiency in positioning items, weighing up to 45 pounds, on shelves at varying heights. Regularly expected to be in a seated, upright, bent, stretched, pushed, pulled, raised, carried, and walked around the store. Must be capable of executing responsibilities with or without reasonable modifications.

Qualifications of Service Manager Trainee:

• Candidates must have reached the age of 18 or older to be considered for employment in this position at ALDI
• Skill in operating effectively alone and as part of a collective work setting
• Proficiency in offering and directing individuals to offer quick and respectful customer assistance
• - The skill to cultivate relationships, inspire faith, and encourage honest interaction to elevate the development and professional productivity of subordinates
• Possessing the skill to comprehend and execute corporate regulations and practices Adeptness in defining targets and supervising staff to secure the excellence and finalization of job duties
• The skill of gauging and enhancing the productivity of oneself and those around
• Proficiency in grasping and utilizing management principles concerning budget allocation, staffing expenses, and financial outlays
• Skill in operating a cash register adeptly and with precision
• Proficiency in the safe and correct utilization of various equipment, such as electric and manual hand jacks, floor scrubbers, and cardboard balers, in addition to completing general cleaning duties following company guidelines
• Ability to stay organized and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner, following instructions and giving attention to detail Meets any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
• Having a High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred
• A retail background with a minimum of three years of progressive experience
• A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge Prior management experience preferred Travel: Full-Time Store Manager Trainees will often train at multiple locations and must have flexibility to travel within divisional requirements ALDI offers
