PangeaTwo is partnering with a highly respected healthcare management corporation to identify a Sourcing Director. The ideal candidate will work relentlessly to create value in specialty care by aligning physicians, health plans and health systems around a common goal: delivering exceptional care and healing to patients and communities. The Director is responsible for conducting opportunity assessments, determining sourcing needs, developing and implementing sourcing strategies and programs, and managing systems supporting the sourcing process.
Responsibilities:
- Work with stakeholders to plan, prioritize and implement sourcing programs that contribute to the organizations objectives, drive operational efficiencies, and achieve cost savings.
- Manage budget in spend, aggregating and negotiating best in class contracts.
- Create and manage a products pipeline with strategic suppliers.
- Develop and manage sourcing strategies, including: prepare, issue and manage RFP process; evaluate proposals and financial impact; negotiate contracts; work collaboratively with Legal Department to finalize agreements; develop implementation plan with Field Operations; report cost savings by facility and overall.
- Analyze and report on category consumption data, sourcing effectiveness, and compliance to negotiated agreements.
- Manage strategic relationships and develop new suppliers to ensure best-in-class cost and performance using world-class techniques.
- Assess and monitor supplier performance by developing meaningful technical and financial objectives (Scorecard) that are measurable and achievable.
- Develop and implement action plans with follow-up for suppliers failing to meet performance expectations.
- Manage and develop new procedures to ensure efficient administration of contracts, including appropriate filing and record management and professional purchasing practices and techniques.
- Monitor existing contracts to ensure costs are competitive with market trends.
- Understand, communicate, and effectively promote the value proposition of the sourcing strategies.
- Develop and lead a robust contracting team.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree required, MBA preferred
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in management
- Healthcare industry experience preferred
- ERP technology
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite
