Job Summary:

The Human Resource Generalist will run the routine functions of the Human Resources (HR) department including hiring, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

  • Supervisory Responsibilities: No direct reports
  • Reports to CFO
  • Part-Time

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Provides support and guidance to management and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
  • Manages the talent acquisition process, which may include administering the ATS system, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified job applicants. Collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Conducts digital file audits and organizes company of HR-related data file storage.
  • Coordinates new hire orientation and employee recognition/communication programs.
  • Coordinates learning and development programs and initiatives that provide internal development opportunities for employees.
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to: compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
  • Supports staff with PEO interface for HR requests and admin items (payroll, benefits, etc.)
  • Coordinates with PEO to maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.
  • Reviews and maintains Employee Handbook to maintain compliance and reflect current practices.
  • Supports Finance with payroll administration; prorating wages, PTO calcs, pay changes, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • A minimum of three years of HR management experience preferred.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
