Responsible for selling all Encore Productions products and services to markets which include trade shows, associations, producers, meeting planners and other industry-related vendors and/or businesses. Help refine and utilize effective selling "tools" to exceed profitability, productivity and sales objectives. Prepare presentations, competitive cost analyses, and proposals for individuals and groups. Establish close working relationships with clients and co-workers. Secure new clients through follow-up on leads and referrals from existing accounts. Develop and expand key accounts to maximum potential. Negotiate contracts with new and existing clients. Director of Production as directed in the realization of company and department goals.
· Meet annual sales and profit objectives as outlined in the department budget.
· Solicits new accounts for the Production Division.
· Maintains contact with previous clients and re-books business whenever possible.
· Work with the Hotels Division to cultivate Hotel leads.
· Prepares proposals and makes presentations to perspective clients to secure business.
· Follows accounting procedures to ensure clients requesting Encore's services, approved credit or sent credit application to start accounts, checking the accuracy of all invoices sent to clients.
· Prepares client billing and submits to accounting no later than five business days after close of show.
· Prepares clients budgets as requested, Provide quote as needed.
· Attends all necessary pre-convention meetings as required by client.
· Develop strong client relations to enhance future business. Obtains future schedule of client and solicits appropriate future business.
· Follows up on customer complaints and collections as needed.
· Submits timely reports as requested/required.
· Generates sales that develop short term and long-term profits.
· Executes the Company's creative marketing strategy.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Position requires organization, consistent and professional follow-up, and leadership skills.
· Ability to understand, offer input to, and efficiently communicate client concepts & messaging, and lead the translation of those goals into production/event execution.
· Travel up to 50%
2-5 years event sales experience
Prior corporate trade show/presentation/meeting experience a must.
Excellent communication skills, including written, oral, and presentation. Ability to listen carefully, respond intelligently and follow-up appropriately.
Detail and service oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work within deadlines, defines problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Communicate with all internal departments on a timely basis. Strengthen client relationship, improve customer service and maintain regular contact with client. Assist with departments and inter-departmental projects related to process improvement, customer service request and/or plan design modifications.
This individual and other members of the Encore Productions staff are expected to work closely with other departments to accomplish the Company's goals in delivering services in all forms of media, including film, interactive technologies, videotape, slides, computer graphics and animation, print and multimedia. They must have the ability to establish and maintain effective relations with co-workers, employees and officials in other departments as well as support a teamwork environment.
