INTERN - Adults Ministry

We seek Christ-centered professionals, who want to join a team of disciplined and talented superstars, committed to working together to accomplish our mission. The Adults Ministry Intern at First Baptist Dallas will be responsible for assisting the Ministers in all aspects of the ministry area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• 
  Sunday School:
  • 
    Attendance process
    • 
      Scan, copy, print, sort, stuff, and deliver folders
  • 
    Assist with leadership luncheon set up and clean up
  • 
    Enter room resources for all classes in Service U for the upcoming year
  • 
    Assist with greeting card process - birthdays, Christmas, Valentines (Widows)
  • 
    Assist with Communiques and Newsletters
    
• Special Events – Luncheons, Dinners, Programs, Conferences
  • 
    Set up, tear down, and store supplies and equipment
  • 
    Able to adjust hours to work weekends as needed
• 
  Trip Logistics
  • 
    Identify hotel options, travel options, restaurant options, tour options
  • 
    Contract tracking and deadlines
• 
  Celebration Singers
  • 
    Secure Venues for Ministry Concerts
    
    • Confirm dates and necessary onsite resources
• 
  Planning Center
  • 
    Enter necessary resources for upcoming events
• 
  Skills
  • 
    Microsoft Office proficiency
  • 
    Creativity in decorating for events

Spiritual

• 
  Must be fully committed to the Mission and Core Values of First Baptist Dallas
• 
  Must be committed to biblical Christian principles and teachings professionally and personally
• 
  Must possess characteristics that reflect a person of faith and a lifestyle of biblical integrity
• 
  Fully committed to the Senior Pastor, Executive Pastor, and overall church ministry

Professional & Education (Certifications or Licenses)

• 
  Embody the Green Team Characteristics and work according to Operating Principles
• 
  Must be an active member of First Baptist Dallas Church or another like-minded Church
• 
  Must be currently seeking a Bachelor’s or Master’s level degree at a College, University, or Seminary
• 
  Must have sensed a call into some type of vocational Ministry
• 
  Must be able to commit 12 months to this internship opportunity
• 
  Must be able to work up to 19 hours a week

Physical

• Must be able to sit for long periods of time
• 
  Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds
  
• Ability to work effectively using a personal computer for long periods of time
