Operating Room Nurse Job Details
We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Operating Room team at Waterbury Hospital. As an Operating Room nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients undergoing surgery. You will work closely with the surgical team to ensure that all aspects of patient care are met, from preparation to recovery. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for surgery, including administering medications and preparing equipment
- Assist with surgeries and other medical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the physician
Requirements:
- 1 year of experience as an Operating Room Registered Nurse
- Current state license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends
