About the position
As a Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at MKS Vacuum Solutions Division, you will collaborate with various teams to enhance production processes and support the manufacturing strategy for the Broomfield operations. This role involves analyzing systems, developing innovative solutions, and managing employee training to improve productivity and quality.
Responsibilities
• Analyze existing systems and processes to identify value-added and non-value-added activities.
,
• Conceive, design, develop, and test innovative solutions based on analysis and organizational objectives.
,
• Contribute to resolving quality and efficiency issues at the component level.
,
• Implement and control manufacturing documents such as work instructions and process drawings.
,
• Estimate manufacturing costs, review/update time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements.
,
• Evaluate new and existing processes, equipment, and materials for scheduling methods and performance metrics.
,
• Uphold the company's reputation by delivering innovative solutions while adhering to regulations.
,
• Manage and conduct employee training for productivity improvement projects.
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering and 5+ years of related experience.
,
• In-depth understanding of lean manufacturing principles and commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
,
• Proficiency with analytical tools, workflow time studies, and process balancing.
,
• Ability to collaborate with design engineers, program managers, and manufacturing leads.
,
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
,
• Strong communication, listening, and collaboration skills.
,
• Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and Tool/Fixture Design, as well as experience with Oracle and Agile.
,
• Understanding of Product Engineering, Product Design Reviews, and Engineering Documentation.
Nice-to-haves
• Experience with Tubular Components and CNC Machining preferred; CNC programming a plus.
,
• Familiarity with TIG welding and Orbital welding; interest in robotics for manufacturing.
,
• Understanding principles of DFM and DFA.
,
• Experience with 3D printing.
,
• Experience with Mechanical Assembly.
