Job Description
Holland Engineering, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced mechanical engineering professional to join our team as a Group Manager.
About the Role
This leadership position provides an excellent opportunity for career growth and development in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Group Manager, you will be responsible for guiding and managing a team of mechanical engineers and designers, ensuring the integrity of the overall design, and meeting quality assurance standards.
Responsibilities
• Manage and direct business and client development activities for the group, identifying future opportunities with new and existing clients.
• Prepare, review, and provide engineering oversight and guidance for design calculations, develop specifications, and work with designers, integrating internal and customer-specific CAD standards.
• Supervise engineers, technicians, designers, and other staff as required, providing detailed compliance reviews and optimization analysis for Energy station design.
• Develop cost estimates and conceptual designs for proposed/existing pipeline & facility projects.
• Represent the firm at project meetings, attend pre-construction and construction meetings, and conduct client/site visits.
• Coordinate and collaborate with engineers and staff from other disciplines on project requirements and tasks.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8-10 years of experience, with prior group management experience preferred but not required.
• Professional Engineering license required, with PMP Certification a plus and NCEES record preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills, ability to interact professionally with staff and clientele.
• Proficient knowledge and experience in design, construction, operation, maintenance, and regulations associated with mechanical systems related to facilities, including mechanical engineering and design experience of Energy projects.
• Familiarity with CFR 49 Parts 192 and 195 and ASME/ANSI B31.4 and B31.8 codes and regulations is preferred.
• Proficiency using AutoCAD and MicroStation, with HDD experience a plus.
